No, not inter-species pornographic fanfic, but rather the Gears of War 3 Gears United/Artists United Contest (and probably some inter-species pornographic fanfic too).
Entrants were challenged to “submit a completed qualifying entry that captures the soul-shattering spirit of Gears of War rendered in the entrant’s own original fan art”, with or without gratuitous shotty gibs.
Well, the votes are in, and first prize of $10,000, and a limited edition Gears of War 3 Xbox console go to deviantARTist ~Aeonsend, whose lightning-struck portrait “Bring It” clearly struck a chord with the judges.
