Game Development Community Sessions kicking up in Cape Town

26 October 2011

Want to make games?

Live in Cape Town?

Well, according to indie developers, Underscore Discovery, your hopes and dreams of becoming a bona fide game developer are about to get the chance they need.

Starting this evening (26 October 2011), Capetonian game devs will benefit from practised developer knowledge in the form of Game Development Community sessions – a meeting of the local gaming minds.

The community night is happening at Cape Town’s Microsoft offices, and will have headlining talks from Desktop Dungeons gurus, QCF Design – as well as Tasty Poison Games and Underscore Discovery, themselves.

All you need to do is pitch up (yes, it’s free).

This looks like it might become a regular, monthly thing in Cape Town, much like the recurring Game Development meetings already taking place in Johannesburg; great news for local game developers who need to tap into a source of experienced game dev inspiration and information.

Proceedings begin at 18h30 – get in on this and start making games!
