Playdead's next project "weirder than Limbo"

28 October 2011

Playdead boss, Dino Patti, has told Eurogamer that the studio’s next project – code-named “Project Two” – is weirder than its last release, Limbo.

The Danish studio has been working on Project Two for over a year now, but has yet to reveal any details.

“I think it looks crazy good,” Patti said. “I’m really proud of it already. I know the art is not fully there yet, but for me it’s the perfect project two for our company, because it’s similar in many ways, but so different.

“The next project is more crazy than Limbo, if you say that’s crazy. It’s [weirder] in many ways.”

Patti did confirm that the game is a single player game (for now), and that it will almost certainly be a downloadable game.

He revealed that unlike Limbo, it will be rendered in colour and it will be “more 3D than you think.”

PlayDead is adamant about not announcing the game too early because he hates it “when the big publishers show something one or two years before the launch.”

“I want to have an announcement one month before, two weeks before or something. That’s an ordinary person’s attention span.”

He’s clearly never met James.
