Free-to-play Bloodline Champions lands on Steam

29 October 2011

If you’re stuck inside this weekend with no Battlefield 3 to play, perhaps your copy never arrived or you’re waiting for Modern Warfare 3 instead, Steam has just the thing to keep you going.

Bloodline Champions, the highly addictive free-to-play PvP combat arena game is now available through Steam.

If you’ve never played before, you’re in for a treat. The game will be most readily accessible to those who have played a DOTA style game before, but don’t be deterred if you’re not a fan of that genre. The fast-paced combat game relies almost entirely on your skills to control your character, there’s no level and gold grinding. Games are also over fairly quickly, so you’ll never have to commit an hour of your time like you do with DOTA-like games.

Each player has their choice of a wide variety of characters to choose from, each with their own unique abilities. Team games can consist of up to 10 players, split into factions.

If skill-shotting is your bag, you’ll take to the intense teamfights in no time. The game also comes in at a reasonable 1GB, so downloading it won’t be too much of a problem for most.  If you’re looking for a new game to play give it a try, you won’t regret it.
