Canadian dev, Silicon Knights, has pink-slipped about three quarters of its staff, according to “two credible independent sources” over at 1UP.
“Silicon Knights has had massive layoffs. They are now down to a core staff of 25 people,” claims one source.
“I heard they laid off all of HR, including Denis’ [Dyack, president] wife,” claims another.
The news comes just weeks after Silicon Knights’ latest project, X-Men Destiny, launched and promptly bombed on Metacritic, although the company has been treading murky water since Too Human did pretty much exactly the same thing in 2008.

Back in July, however, a $3 million investment from the Ontario government was supposedly going to fund an additional 80 new staffers on top of the then 97 in-house employees.
Apparently something hasn’t worked out.
For the moment, Silicon Knights has not made any official statement on the matter, but it’s probably safe to assume there’s not going to be a Too Human 2.
I can already hear the great wailing and gnashing of teeth.
