Bastion dev team answers all your questions on Reddit

2 November 2011

If you’re looking for something to do for the next hour or so, I suggest clicking over to the Supergiant Games Q&A session on Reddit (and then, you know, clicking over to another link on Reddit, then another, then another, then – oh my, it’s already 6PM, where the hell did the day go?).

The whole Bastion dev team – including Amir Rao, Darren Korb, Greg Kasavin, Logan Cunningham, Gavin Simon, Andrew Wang, and Jen Zee – turned up on Reddit’s “IAMA” page last night, to provide official answers to all those questions fans have about obscure points of this, that, and the other thing that the designers themselves hadn’t even realised.

It’s really a fascinating read, with lots of behind-the-scenes stuff about the game’s design and development process, the team’s own backgrounds, and Logan being constantly mistaken for Ron Perlman.

Most importantly, however, is the news that the guys and girl are working on something new.

“Too early to say what’s next though we’re sticking together and intend to press on, which is just what we wanted,” writes Greg. “We didn’t announce Bastion until more than a year into its development so it’ll probably be a while before we talk about anything new.”
