Remedy Games has put an end to months of rumour and speculation by, finally, officially admitting they’ve got a new Alan Wake game in development for the Xbox LIVE Arcade.
What a relief, all that open secrecy was killing me.
“Fans, Alan Wake returns through Xbox Live Arcade,” reads a notice on the Alan Wake Facebook page. “Follow GameInformer.com on Monday for the first screenshot, and the 2011 Spike VGA‘s, December 10th, for more information on this Epic Adventure. Are you ready to become the Champion of Light?”
Elsewhere, XBLA Fans – who first broke news of the game back in May already – has leaked a screenshot of the its main menu, which shows the title as “Alan Wake’s Night Springs” and lists “Arcade Action” as an extra option.
Most intriguing.
In the original Alan Wake, Night Springs is the name of a Twilight Zone-style show that appears on TVs throughout the game.
