Top rated iPhone games in October

7 November 2011

Do you have an iPhone? Do you like games?

Love them or hate them – mobile games are going to be sticking around for a long while yet; thankfully though, with much due to the iPhone and the Apple app store, the quality of games we’re seeing launched on the mobile platform are looking a lot better these days.

The Quality index took in all the reviews listed online, and released this handy top 10 list of the top-rated iPhone games in October – just in case you were looking for something new to play when you visit the ceramic office.

Bike Baron

Topping the list, getting an average score of 8.7 (out of 10), this fun little touch game let’s you ride your stunt bike across different levels, ramping, looping and flipping as you collect coins.

It also has a pretty cool level-editor, which lets you create your own levels to traverse.

Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation

Gameloft’s “inspired” series gets its third iteration of mobile FPS – obviously playing off of the popularity of other “Modern” shooters that may/may not be releasing round about now.

Not that it matters – it’s not like there are any ‘official’ shooters available – and as far as ‘inspired’ games go, this one looks pretty cool.

Worms Crazy Golf

Oh those crazy worms; if they’re not blowing each other up with a myriad of crazy weapons, they’re chilling out on the green for a round of golf.

When you think about it, the Worms game mechanics actually make perfect sense for a golf game – and now with Crazy Golf on the iPhone (and iPad), you can waste even more time on the loo.

Check out the full list below.

1      Bike Baron [8.7]
2      Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation [8.7]
3      Worms Crazy Golf [8.6]
4      Mage Gauntlet [8.6]
