What do you do if you happen to receive your copy of Skyrim a few days earlier than the rest of the world?
Why, you pirate it, of course.
At least that’s what has happened today, when a few gamers were fortunate enough get early play on Bethesda’s next big thing – with hours of footage from the game popping up all over the net.
And as far as Bethesda is concerned, don’t ask them how they feel about it, because that’s a stupid question.
When confronted by a rather obnoxious question along the lines of “what do you think of my friend pirating your game” over Twitter – Bethesda Director of Marketing and PR, Pete Hines, hit back with a biting and sarcastic remark.
“No, I’m completely nonplussed by people who pirate our games, whatever their defense/rationale,” he tweeted.
“What are you expecting me to say? Someone has a pirated copy of our game and is streaming it pre-launch. Um, I’m overjoyed.” He says in another tweet, which probably followed a similar question.

Yeowch.
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit – unless you’re a peeved off Pete Hines who’s had his biggest game of the year pirated, it seems.
Catch Skyrim – legitimately – this Friday on 11-11-11. But you never needed me to tell you that, right?

Had I not torrented the game I wouldn’t have bought it along with the rest of the series.
