In probably the most unsurprising announcement of 2011 – gamers can look forward to a new Call of Duty game in 2012.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, your hopes and dreams have all come true as Activision Blizzard have announced tha-ZzzzZzzzZzzz
Whoops, sorry, dozed off there for a second.
As has been the trend for some time now, it’s safe to say that Black Ops devs, Treyarch, will likely be handling next year’s shooty-shooty game, much like they have every alternating year since 2006.
The announcement came from Activision CEO, Bobby Kotick, at an investor’s conference – reports 1up – along with the equally unsurprising announcement that Blizzard will be releasing two new games next year as well.
Diablo III is one of them, and Heart of the Swarm is likely the other – so nothing we didn’t already know then.
It’s unlikely Activision are going to stop milking the cash-cow that is Call of Duty any time soon, so I’m just going to go ahead and announce Call of Duty games for 2013, through to 2025.
