I’m sure it seems kind of obvious to most people, really, but here’s a reminder to everybody anyway – cheating is bad, and it’s going to get you banned sooner or later.
And from now, probably sooner than you think.
According to Infinity Ward’s Robert “fourzerotwo” Bowling, they’re already banning those lamers who want to spoil Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for everybody else.
“1st round of #MW3 bans going out,” he announced over Twitter. “Any player attempting to play unfairly or boost rank will be banned from leaderboards and from playing.”
I’m assuming that probably includes the level 48 guy I saw playing Team Deathmatch early yesterday afternoon.
Honestly, if you’re going to cheat, maybe be a bit more subtle about it.
He added later that this means “banning them from playing, removing them, and making it so they can never rank on the leaderboards again”, just in case there was any confusion about that.
