Bethesda‘s Pete Hines has made an announcement via twitter that a Skyrim update for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 is currently in the works.

“We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address any bugs and [performance] issues we can, patches/updates take a little time. We can’t turn it around quite that fast. It’s been three days. Calm down. We’re working on it.”

Hines did not comment on when we can expect the patch, and Bethesda has made no official announcement as yet. Although the game has received high praises, there have been complaints about texture problems on the Xbox 360 version, and interface/control problems on the PC version.

Skyrim is available now on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and it shares the top spot for 2011’s most critically acclaimed game with Batman: Arkham City. Both games hold a Metacritic score of 96/100.
