Robert Bowling discusses MW3 glitches

20 November 2011

Modern Warfare 3 is chugging along nicely, being the 3rd consecutive Call of Duty game to obliterate sales records. As always however, players are uncovering some bugs that need to be ironed out, and community manager Robert Bowling, or FourZeroTwo, has laid out what can be expected in upcoming patches.

Firstly the complaints regarding the spawn system are being worked on, and Bowling assures fans that there are “lots of updates in [the] works and daily hot fixes happening. [We] will continue to address and update.”

The Outpost map has been giving players trouble and was hotfixed yesterday, however a player has now complained that it is possible to cheat by shooting enemies from underneath the map. According to Bowling, they are aware of the problem – “[we have a] hot fix already in the works, please report that player so that we can stop him from playing.” The unlimited Stealth Bomber glitch will also be hotfixed shortly.

Lastly Bowling comments on the issues experienced by PS3 players, who seem to have it the worst thus far. Bowling says, ”[we are] working on [PS3 framerate issues, lag,..etc]. Daily meetings are [being held to] investigate cause and solutions. We will get [the problems] resolved for you.”
