So, Minecraft is live, loud, and totally legit.

HUGE SUCCESS!

So huge, in fact, that apparently the game was seeing 4000 logins every second after its official, big boy version 1.0 launch on Friday.

That’s according to the developers’ panel talk over at this weekend’s first ever MineCon in Las Vegas, who also revealed the following impressive-looking numbers about the game:

  • 241,920,000 logins per month
  • 1,000 logins per hour
  • 2,000,000,000 files download by the launcher
  • 11,000 skin downloads (in game) per second

Earlier this month, Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson confirmed that the game – then still in beta – had already sold four million copies, banking an estimated £50 million for his company, Mojang.

The developers have also dropped a trailer for the incoming Xbox LIVE version of the game, which is scheduled to release sometime in early 2012.

An iOS version was released last Thursday, an Android version has been out since August, and anybody left out can just play with Lego in the meantime.
