The next game from former Team Bondi boss / LA Noire writer / alleged fascist overlord, Brendan McNamara, is something called “Whore of the Orient”, and is currently in development over at his new job at KMM Interactive.
That’s all according to an Australian Financial Review interview with KMM owner, George Miller, which notes that the studio “has also acquired the rights to Team Bondi founder Brendan McNamara’s next game, Whore Of The Orient.”
McNamara told Eurogamer earlier this month that the game would be “one of the great untold stories of the twentieth century” and compared it with LA Noire in terms of scope.
If you were hoping for a game about the life, times, and johns of a notorious Asian sex worker, however, you might be in line for disappointment – the “Whore of the Orient” is usually a name associated with the Chinese city of Shanghai.
Although I suppose “notorious Asian sex worker” still probably applies in that case.
