With Gears of War done and dusted for the year, it turns out Epic has been busy-busy with something else.

Something “entirely fresh” and “new”, no less. So in theory it could still be Kinect Unreal Tournamentimals, but it probably isn’t. Whatever it is, though, they’ll be telling all at the Spike TV Video Game Awards this weekend, cue dramatic music here.

“Be sure to tune into Spike TV Video Game Awards live on Saturday, I’ll be there with a big announcement,” said Epic’s Cliff “Don’t-Call-Him-CliffyB” Bleszinski in a teaser video announcement of the impending real announcement.

“While we’ve been busy supporting Gears of War and Infinity Blade, we’ve got something new for you. It’s an entirely fresh, new experience we’ve been crafting here at our North Carolina studio, and you’re not going to want to miss it,” he added coyly, before presumably rushing off camera giggling with his hands over his mouth.
