THQ has announced via a new trailer that Darksiders 2 will be released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in Summer 2012, which means Winter 2012 for us Southern Hemisphere dwellers.
A Wii U version is also going to be released, but since no one knows exactly when Nintendo’s new console will hit shelves, we can’t say when that version of the game will be available. The smart money is on Darksiders 2 being one of the console’s launch titles.
The new trailer shows off anti-hero Death, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Death is on a quest to redeem his brother, War, who was unfairly blamed for prematurely starting the apocalypse in the first game.
Jim Huntley, vice president of Global Brand Management at THQ commented: “We are really looking forward to allowing players to take on the role of the ultimate anti-hero and this trailer gives them a real taste of what it will be like playing DEATH.”
