PS Vita’s debug mode features dolphins and an oyster

23 December 2011

The PlayStation Vita has been out in Japan for almost a week now, which is more than enough time for loads of them to crash, break, or get stuck in a debug mode full of dolphins, forever.

At least the last one sounds kind of relaxing.

According to a video obtained by Adriasang, it seems at least one PS Vita has managed to get itself permanently locked in what looks like some sort of debug mode, prominently featuring a bunch of dolphins swimming around an oyster with a pearl inside it. Oh you, Japan.

Or maybe it’s a surprise, unannounced Ecco the Dolphin exclusive. Probably not, though.

For the moment, the dolphins seem content with simply maintaining a circuit of the oyster, and have not established contact with the owner with a list of demands. Sony has yet to comment too.

Which will happen first? Stay tuna’ed. Oh, I went there.
