Trion Worlds has reduced subscription fees for its fantasy themed MMORPG, Rift.

An annual subscription plan will now set you back £59 (R735). This works out to £4.92 (R61) per month. Multi-month subscriptions have also been lowered in price, and a 6 month plan now works out to £6.49 (R80) per month. This is a pretty minor reduction, as the 6 month plan previously worked out to £6.99 (R87) per month. Over the space of a year, however, players save R70, which is pretty cool.

To further coax players into signing up for longer subscription plans,Trion Worlds is for a limited time also throwing in an extra month of Rift game time for anyone upgrading to a multi-month plan.

Players can also now try out Rift’s mobile app which is in beta and available for free from the App Store.

    Yeah also waiting for GW2.

All the other MMOs-where-you-pay-through-your-ears-every-month-for-the-privilege-to-play-a-game-you-already-forbought just seems like no fun, even SWTOR just seems like a WOW clone with better narrative.

Rift seems like a WOW clone with some dynamic content, but this doesn’t insterest me because GW2 will perfect the dynamic content system and will be the benchmark for future MMOs and it has no subs!
