According to a leak spotted at ComputerBase.de, AMD is gearing up to release mobile versions of the just announced HD7900 range of desktop graphics cards.

The HD7900M mobile lineup will supposedly be released in Q2 of 2012.

Like their desktop counterparts, the mobile HD7900 cards will be based on 28nm GCN architecture. The cards will also feature new power management capabilities, enhanced image quality, improved visual display features and DirectX 11.1 support.

According to the leaked slide, the mobile HD7000 range will comprise of:

  • HD7400M
  • HD7500M
  • HD7600M
  • HD7700M
  • HD7800M
  • HD7900M

Each will have multiple variations, so we can expect a wide selection of mobile solutions.

AMD has made no official announcement regarding the mobile HD7000 chips, so even though the leaked information is in line with what we would expect from AMD at this stage, it should be taken with a pinch of salt.
