Gamers in Joburg and Cape Town have important things to do this week, with big community events happening in both cities, and each one obviously trying to be better than the other to win the ultra-coveted Best Community Event award I just made up.
It’s a bit like Unreal Tournament, but without flak cannons (maybe next time).
The JHBGamers event is happening on Wednesday at TSG in Fourways, from 6pm onwards, and EA Asia Pacific community manager Brad Pidgeon will be on the scene to answer all your urgent Sims-related queries (or anything else).
According to the event info on Facebook, there will also be “a few other distributors and media folk” attending, which usually means free stuff.
In Cape Town, 2upGamers will be hosting its Third Encounter event at the Friends of Design school on Friday night.
Brad Pidgeon will be beaming in from Joburg, and Takealot will also be around. Tickets are R80 per person, and you can book over on their official site (linked below).
According to my bosses, I’ll be there with a bunch of MyGaming swag to hand out.
