League of Legends, or as it is affectionately known – LOL (lol) – is one of the world’s most popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games, and NAG Magazine is hosting a competitive local league for it this year.
So far 25 clans have registered to play in the league, and head admin Drans “A10 Greep3r” Scheepers expected at least another 5 clans to register before the closing date, which is tomorrow, 27 January 2012.
Each team must consist of at least 5 players, and may have up to 4 substitute players.
A seeding tournament will kick off on 3 February and will run through until 24 February, after which teams will be placed in either the Premier, First or Second Divisions.
The online league will then kick off on 9 March. The first leg will end on 31 May, and leg 2 will run from 15 June until 31 August.
Following the league, NAG will host the Grand Final Invitational tournament at rAge, which will take place between 28-30 September this year.
