With the recent confirmation of official PS Vita pricing for South Africa, we also had a few questions raised about the launch of the devices, the peripherals and the launch titles set to hit shelves on 22 February 2012.
To get some answers, we were in touch with Ster Kinekor Entertainment, official distributor of Sony products in South Africa.
Comparing the European launch title line-up to the SA launch title line-up, there are a few obvious names missing – such as Escape Plan and Motorstorm RC.
Ster Kinkeor has updated the SA launch title list with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Virtua Tennis 4.

The 32GB PS Vita memory card was not mentioned in the pricing announcement. Ster Kinekor explained that the 32GB card has been postponed for launch in Europe and SA at a later date in 2012.

PS Vita 3G RICA registration
It has been confirmed that consumers picking up the 3G version of the PS Vita will be required to RICA the SIM in the device in accordance with SA law.
In Europe Vodafone is the official data partner for the PS Vita. Ster Kinekor said that no similar deal has been finalised for the South African market, but they are working on it.
