Here’s an awesome Star Wars: The Old Republic progress chart

6 February 2012

With little in the way of “must-play” games being released at the moment, I have been drawn into the vast web of Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Having survived a brutal World of Warcraft addiction, as well as spent a couple of hours poking around in the likes of Age of Conan, Guild Wars, Eve Online, AION and even Lord of the Rings Online, I can safely say that The Old Republic is my favourite MMO released to date.

The key to its success is its focus on narrative. Where most MMO’s are happy to place the storyline firmly in the back seat, The Old Republic leads with it. On top of that, the game incorporates engaging, albeit highly WoW-derivative gameplay mechanics and a massive universe to explore.

The guys over at OldRepublic.net have put together an info graphic detailing the progress tree that players will follow as they level up through the world of The Old Republic. The chart includes every planet and flashpoint that players will experience from level 1 to 50.

I know people who play WoW sometimes complain of the awful lag and how they can’t do proper raids etc.

Does SWTOR have the same issues? I’ve not started playing MMORPG’s, because I know my wife would probably divorce me, but SWTOR… like Ryan said, you get to play with frikken lightsabers man!
