Local ADSL pricing comparison

7 February 2012

Telkom increased the monthly allowance (cap) on its consumer and business ADSL offerings free of charge this month (February).

Effective 1 February, Telkom increased the monthly DSL blended data cap on the following products: 4GB Telkom Internet AllAccess increases to 5GB; 8GB Telkom Internet AllAccess increases to 10GB and the 16GB Telkom Internet AllAccess increases to 20GB.

Telkom pointed out that these cap increases improve the value of both the consumer Do products, and the business TBiz discount bundles.

The higher usage allowances mean that Telkom’s Do basic, Do level 2, Do advanced and Do premium subscribers will benefit from more data in future.

This raises the question as to how Telkom’s new ‘all-in-one’ packages compare with competing offerings in the market. The following table answers this question.
