Actor Joe Flanigan has outed a new Army of Two game on Twitter, after apparently not reading his contract very carefully for that all-important “SHH DON’T TELL LOL” clause.
“Just signed on to do the new AO4 video game for Electronic Arts,” he tweeted. “Some splinter from Battlefield. Finally, my kids think I am cool again.”
Twenty-five minutes later, realising his mistake and also realising it was too late to destroy the evidence, he followed up with “Actually, showing how distinctively uncool I am, I think I have those games mixed up. Thankgod my kids don’t read twitter.”
Although EA has not officially announced Army of Four, rumours of the second sequel have been going around since last year already, with one report claiming it’s a four-play co-op game in development over at EA’s Visceral Games studio in Montreal, and built with the DICE’s Battlefield 3 Frostbite 2 engine.
The first sequel, Army of Two: The 40th Day, was launched back in 2010 and I’ve also just remembered I never actually finished it. I got kind of caught up looking for those waving cat things, then just forgot about it entirely.
