The next Forza game is on the Horizon

6 March 2012

The next game in the Forza franchise has been revealed – coming “this fall” (that’s October in these here parts) racing fans can look forward to Forza Horizon.

Check out the mini live-action teaser released by Turn 10 Studios for the game, which features Lambos; a succession of Porches (now that they have some licensing for it); dirt tracks; pretty colours; flashing lights; and huge crowds of people dancing to what sounds like dubstep – but who can even tell anymore?

The game is being developed by Playground Games “in collaboration” with Turn 10 Studios – so expect some new ideas coming from a new developer working on the series.

Playground Games is a studio filled with team members yoinked from studios that have strong racing-title credentials – lead by the guys who were responsible for Colin McRae Rally, GRID and DiRT – and they’re working exclusively on Forza Horizon.

The game will likely stick to its home system, and be released for the Xbox 360 exclusively.
