Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition coming to iPad

In news that just got even better, it’s been confirmed that the New! Improved! Now with enhancements! Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will also be coming to iPad when it launches later this year. My bath-time adventures on the Sword Coast just got a whole lot less in my head and a whole lot more on my miniature giant space tablet. The shampoo bottle was never a particularly convincing Sarevok anyway.

“Running on an upgraded and improved version of the Infinity Engine, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition will include the entire Baldur’s Gate adventure, the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack, and never before seen content including a new adventure and new party member,” reads the announcement on the official site.

The game will apparently be available on the Apple App Store “this summer”, which is Dungeons & Dragons for “this winter”. No pricetag yet, though.

There’s also a bunch of photos showing a man posing in a variety of locations with the game on his iPad to show that you can press the screen to make stuff happen. Magic!
