Sleeping Dogs, Activision’s True Crime reboot turned Square Enix new IP, has garnered much attention since its re-branding earlier this year.
Set as a large-open world GTA-styled action game, Sleeping Dogs features a deep and involving storyline, which sees an undercover cop attempt to stop a Triad operation. Cue guns, kung-fu, car-chases and explosions.
The game itself is looking pretty impressive, with a seamless combat system (undoubtedly inspired by Arkham City’s free-flow fighting mechanic), acrobatic third-person shooting, as well as intense foot- and car-chase scenes.
The vehicles will play an important role throughout Sleeping Dogs, as not only will you need to get from A to B in Hong Kong, but players will also need to engage in races, stunts and death-defying car-jack moments which will see the protagonist, Detective Wei Shen, leaping from car to car.
