Max Payne 3 is “f***ing brilliant”, says Remedy

10 April 2012

You won’t be able to decide for yourself until next month, but in the meantime, you should know that Rockstar’s Max Payne 3 is apparently “f***ing brilliant”. That’s according to original Max Payne dev, Remedy Entertainment, so it probably means something.

“It’s fucking brilliant,” Remedy boss Matias Myllyrinne told GamesIndustry. “It’s already brilliant so I’ve enjoyed it.”

Although the game is in development over at Rockstar Vancouver, Remedy’s top people have been consulting on the project.

“They wanted our input on a couple of occasions and we’ve had loads of our people, our core group, who worked on the first two games, give input and it’s awesome,” he said.

“Those guys, they just don’t put out bad games,” he added, inadvertently revealing that he obviously didn’t play Rockstar’s Table Tennis for Wii.

“And so, in that respect, it’s very – it’s almost like the best position to be in. It’s like somebody’s making a great game and you just get to give them input.”

Max Payne 3 is out 15 May.

Haha I’ll play Max Payne 3, you play that other thing you demon lover!

Yeah it is a rather silly release date though isn’t it? I guess they’ll get more console gamers flocking to MP3 (and non-loving online PC gamers like me…probably just me). Of course my luck they PC version will only be released on the 15th of August just because that’s the way the cookie crumbles…
