Spec Ops: The Line trailer welcomes players to hell

11 April 2012

2K Games’ upcoming third-person shooter, Spec Ops: The Line, gets a story trailer that introduces some of the characters that players will encounter, as well as the harsh desert environment that will be endured.

Loosely based upon Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness, which details a story of European colonisers who head into Africa and witness the atrocities and savagery of the human condition.

The surroundings also play a pivotal role as players are able to use sand to their advantage, such as shooting out a window to bury enemies. The dangers also apply to the players though as the tough conditions could also lead to your own demise.

Spec Ops: The Line is scheduled for a local June release.
