After the recent ‘accidental’ leak of the existence of Crysis 3, details on Crytek’s upcoming third instalment in the series are flying in from the dark corners of the internet.
Information that appeared on a Russian website highlights a few of the features and facts about the prematurely unveiled sequel.
Crysis 3 will once again take place in New York (supposedly following the events of Crysis 2), where the Big Apple is now heavily destroyed and become “almost a jungle”, which will then combine elements from the thick natural environments and urban settings of the series.
The details also state that Crysis 3 will be “the best sandbox FPS on the market”, hinting to facts that the game may leave the wide open, but linear areas of Crysis 2 for a more open-world structure similar to that of the first game in the series, Crysis.
Yesterday’s leak of the box art shows a Nanosuit-clad protagonist wielding a futuristic bow, lending to the idea that new weapons will be integrated into the game.
It’s suggested that Crysis 3 will be officially announced on April 15.
