Rumor: Nvidia will launch GTX 275 in April

12 March 2009

As if the choice was not difficult enough, Nvidia has gone and further complicated matters with plans to bring out a new graphics card that will perform somewhere between its current GTX 260 and GTX 285.

Fudzilla reports that one of their sources has told them that the card in question will be the GTX 275.

Apparently the GTX 275 will consist of the same GPU as the two present in Nvidia’s monster GTX 295, with the main difference being that the GTX 275 will be a single GPU solution.

Nvidia estimates that this will put the card somewhere between the GTX 260 and GTX 285 in terms of performance.

It will apparently retail for $249 (R3200) in Europe. We are predicting a local retail price of between R4000 – R4600.

Fudzilla claims the card will be out internationally in early April, but we can obviously not confirm if or when the card will be available locally.
