Battlefield 3 Close Quarters DLC gameplay trailer and new screens

Battlefield 3 Close Quarters is the second DLC for the popular multiplayer shooter, set to drop sometime in June 2012. It will introduce new gameplay modes, environments, vehicles, assignments, dog-tags and weapons across four maps designed for tight infantry-centric combat.

The recommended retail price for Close Quarters is $14.99 USD for PlayStation 3 and PC, and 1200 MS Points for Xbox 360.

EA and DICE have released the second gameplay trailer for Close Quarters, showcasing the map Donya Fortress in all its destructive glory. In action is the new game mode, Conquest Domination. It is described as a mix of the tactical classic Conquest mode and the instant-action gameplay featured on these tight maps.

Along with 10 new assignments and 5 new dog-tags, Close Quarters will add the following 10 new weapons to the game:

  • AUG Assault Rifle
  • SCAR Assault Rifle
  • ACW-R Carbine
  • MTAR-21 Carbine
  • M417 Sniper Rifle
  • JNG-90 Sniper Rifle
  • L86LSW Machine Gun
  • LSAT Machine Gun
  • M5K Tactical Machine Pistol
  • SPAS-12 Shotgun

A further two announced expansion packs are in the pipe for Battlefield 3, with Armored: Kill coming in the SA spring, and End Game pegged for a summer release.

Armored Kill will focus on adding the the vehicular combat portion of Battlefield 3, with new huge vehicle friendly maps (including the biggest map in Battlefield history) and a bunch of new vehicles to zoom around in, including tanks, ATVs, and mobile artillery. Details on End Game are guarded at this point.
