BT Games has told MyGaming that they will have 32 of their retail stores open for the midnight launch of highly anticipated Diablo III. Seven of these stores will also be running a cosplay competition with a fantastic prize up for grabs. The full list is at the bottom of this article.
BT Games is also set to launch a “spot” competition at Eastgate, Fourways, and Centurion branches. Details are obviously under wraps so gamers can’t go and practice ahead of time. Those branches will also be providing drinks and snacks to keep waiting gamers satiated until the big launch.
There will also be random give-aways at the various stores, with prizes such as Diablo III post-cards and wall posters.
The Centurion store, which has secured hundreds of pre-orders, might just be hogging the lime-light though, with SA distributor of Blizzard products, Megarom, getting in on the fun and installing a lighting display to attract would-be warriors.
BT Games has also planned ahead on the behalf of gamers everywhere, and has a a fun surprise in store… which I’m not allowed to tell you about just yet.

About the Cosplay competition
Anyone is welcome to enter and will have their photo taken at one of the seven participating stores.
The photos will be on the BT Games website for one week to allow customers to vote for their favourite.
The costume with the most votes will win a Diablo 3 Collector’s Edition, a R5,000 BT Games voucher, and a hamper of Diablo goodies.
