Halo 4’s box art emerges thanks to fans

15 May 2012

Microsoft recently e-mailed out 32 pieces of a new Halo 4 image, and given the dedication of Master Chief fans, it only took around an hour to piece the puzzle together.

The Halo Waypoint forum members’ efforts revealed the image below, which has been confirmed by Microsoft as the official box art.

The picture itself is rather interesting, showing Master Chief in a dramatic stance in typical Halo-fashion, while a giant ship using what appears to be a tractor beam, hovers above.

It all looks a little Independence Day-ish, although if the image is anything to go by, we’re  hoping that 343 Industries will deliver an experience that ties in with the epic artwork now revealed.

Halo 4 will be set in the aftermath of Halo 3, where Master Chief returns to confront his own destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe. Halo 4 marks the start of a new trilogy that begins with its release in 2012.

Halo 4 is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 6 for Xbox 360.
