Machinarium out now on Android

15 May 2012

If you don’t already own it on PC, Mac, Linux, Backberry, or iPad, now is your chance to get Amanita’s ineffably charming robot adventure Machinarium on Android. You’re out of excuses now, and you really don’t want people to think you have no soul, do you? Exactly.

The Android launch includes Google Play, Amazon’s Kindle Fire and the NOOK App store, and will also be available through the Amazon Appstore for Android later this month. The game is apparently compatible with all Android tablet devices, and a selection of big-screen Android phones.

Machinarium is a point-and-press adventure game featuring a wee robot named Josef who must solve puzzles, quests, brain-teasers, and mini-games to rid the city of the nefarious Black Cap Brotherhood robots and save his wee robot girlfriend from a life spent scrubbing pots.

The game has no dialogue, and instead communicates information to the player using animated thought bubbles somewhat like the Sims. It’s too adorable.
