Killzone 2 DLC will not be free

14 April 2009

Last week Sony announced that Killzone 2 would be receiving a multiplayer expansion in the form of DLC. The expansion pack, dubbed the ‘Steel & Titanium Pack’ will add two new levels to the Warzone mode. Initial rumors indicated that the update, which is said to go live on April 30, would be a free download.

One of the maps, entitled “Bullet Wasteland”, is said to take place on a train that connects the main city Pyrrhus with the wasteland. The second new map, “Vekta Cruiser” is set onboard a spaceship.

Following rumors that the update would be a free download, Sony has indicated that the ‘Steel & Titanium Pack’ would in fact require payment in order to download.
