Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz slips onto Vita

25 May 2012

The Super Monkey Ball series has generated quite a cult following over the years, and a new entry is heading to Sony’s PS Vita handheld.

The general premise of the game is relatively simple – you have to get a ball (with a monkey in it) from A to B, while navigating obstacles along the way.

The new instalment, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz, promises to be the “most advanced Monkey Ball title yet” and will feature over 100 stages, eight mini-games as well as controls that utilise the touch and motion control functionality of the PS Vita.

The camera will also be used, allowing players to snap real world images and use them in custom stages and levels that can also be created.

Online multiplayer will also be featured, with online leader-boards that players can flaunt and go bananas over (pun forcefully and shamelessly intended).
