Developer Phenomic, an Electronic Arts studio dedicated to developing free-to-play games, has announced that Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances has completed beta testing and is now officially live worldwide.

Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances is a browser-based, massively multiplayer online (MMO) strategy game where players choose one of two playable factions, the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) or the Nod. Typical C&C gameplay returns – harvesting resources, fostering strategic alliances, building huge armies and smashing them together to see who wins, and claiming territory as victor.

With integrated in-game status and news feeds, players are updated on their allies and enemies, forcing them to strategize, adapt, and react on the spot.

Tiberium Alliances is a cross-platform MMO, and in the coming months it will feature cloud-saved game data to make it accessible across web browsers and mobile devices. Players can play from their desktop at home, or on the go from their smartphone or tablet PC.

Gamers can check out the game and begin fighting over territory by heading over the the Tiberium Alliances website.

Not enough Command & Conquer for you? Then watch out for Command & Conquer Generals 2, under development at BioWare. Generals 2 is being built on DICE’s impressive Frostbite 2 3D engine, which is most notable for powering Battlefield 3.
