Get ready to save the galaxy all over again! BioWare has confirmed the Mass Effect 3 Rebellion Pack DLC for launch on PC, Xbox LIVE, and the PlayStation Network next week Tuesday, 29 May (or 30 May for EU PSN users, because of mass relay delays or something).
The DLC features two new maps – Firebase Jade and Firebase Goddesss – as well as heaps of new gear and six new characters, including the Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, Ex-Cerberus Adept and Vanguard.
The expansion also adds a new mission objective, set to occur randomly during waves 3, 6 and 10, that tasks players were escorting a “high priority package” to an extraction point. Sounds super important – it’s probably cupcakes.
More usefully, there’s a new equipment slot too, “offering players a persistent gameplay bonus that will not expire after the end of a match”.
The DLC is free for all Online Pass owners, but everybody else will have to pay up some credits for it. No cost has been announced yet, though.
