Konami have a sick sense of humour by constantly teasing fans with messages, images and tweets about an upcoming Castlevania sequel, although the publisher has officially confirmed the follow-up to 2010’s very-underrated Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
Konami’s pre-E3 showcase revealed Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, along with a trailer for the upcoming action adventure game featuring Gabriel Belmont (the predecessor’s protagonist).
Gabriel leaves his Gothic castle and decides to take on a horde of enemies with some new supernatural powers, looking a little ‘darker’ than we’ve seen him before.
The best part of the trailer is when it comes to a climax with another familiar face to the Castlevania series.
A Lords of Shadow sequel has been rumoured for quite some time now, and after all the teasing, we’re pretty excited that the whispers have held true.
Konami are expected to show off Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 at the E3 expo next week.
