Uncapped ADSL bundles: cheapest deals in SA launched

6 June 2012

Afrihost has unveiled their uncapped ADSL bundles, starting at R297 per month for an uncapped data account and ADSL line rental.

“Afrihost recognizes that the barrier of entry for many consumers is not so much the cost of bandwidth, but rather the total cost of a broadband solution,” said Afrihost CEO Gian Visser.

“By introducing the most affordable ADSL bundles South Africa has ever seen, Afrihost is launching an aggressive attack against the high cost of fixed bandwidth installations.”

Existing Afrihost clients will immediately benefit from the new bundled offerings. “Any existing client with an ADSL line and uncapped product can ‘bundle up’ and move to the new product range and save money,” said Visser.

Afrihost said that it will monitor sign-ups and the continued viability of the pricing, and may at some point adjust pricing for new signups. “However, any client, new or existing, who moves to the new bundles will retain the pricing they have signed up for initially,” said Visser.

The new uncapped ADSL bundles are available immediately from Afrihost.

? Do you really think an ISP will be so stupid? 10 ppl on a 1mb line. That means you will only get 10kb’s download at best all the time. Which, in the end, means that Afrihost will get a bad name in the market and ruin it for themselves. No, I think everyone in this forum works for Mweb….and out of desperation they asked their employees/marketing department to badmouth their competition. Too everyone out there, don’t believe forums. This is not the price of a car/house. Just take a chance with ISP’s. Give the smaller ones a go. If it does not work out, what have you lost? If you get throttled at 30gb, it is still great. But, I doubt it. I think all the ISP’s throttle people much much quicker……
