Game Center caters for Mac gamers

13 June 2012

Apple has unveiled its new gaming service for Mountain Lion at the company’s WWDC press conference.

The service allows for a new push on social gaming through Apple devices.

Cross-platform play is one of the new standout features of the service and it allows two players to play together on different devices, such as an iPad and Macbook (as demonstrated in the presentation of the service).

Game Center will also have matchmaking for “soon-to-be-friends”, high-score postings, achievements and leaderboards.
