Welcome to the jungle, we got the fun and games – COMING THIS SEPTEMBER NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER. That’s right, game fans, Ubisoft has delayed the Far Cry 3 launch from its original September release to November in Europe (and here) and December in America. Why? Because they can. And because everybody else is doing it, anyway. Also because the game apparently needs more work.
“We’re taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience,” said Dan Hay, producer at Ubisoft. “Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players.”
Which is basically corporate-speak for “EVERYTHING IS BROKEN \D:/”. Maybe.
The good news is that the delay frees up your September gaming budget for Borderlands 2 and gives you time for organise your malaria shots – so it’s not a total disaster.
The game’s official new launch is on 29 November, or at least until it’s delayed again.
