Black Ops II multiplayer features new, futuristic Nuketown

2 July 2012

Apparently cockroaches and tinned macaroni aren’t the only things to survive a nuclear holocaust – turns out the original Call of Duty: Black Ops fan favourite map Nuketown made it too. Okay, it’s probably already survived several hundred thousand nuclear strikes by now, so maybe that’s not exactly a big surprise, but let’s get excited about playing on it all over again anyway. It’s Nuketown, man!

An updated, “reimagined” version of the map, now appropriately dubbed Nuketown 2025, will reportedly be included as a pre-order bonus for the sequel.

“Multiplayer fans of  Call of Duty: Black Ops LOVE Nuketown,” said Treyarch boss Mark Lamia. “Flat out, Nuketown was a blast to play before, and we’re excited about the reimagined Nuketown 2025 in Call of Duty:  Black Ops II. We can’t wait to play with everyone come this November.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops II launches on 13 November.
