Minecraft Xbox DLC revealed, update in the works

You want new players skins for the Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition? YOU GOT NEW PLAYER SKINS FOR THE MINECRAFT XBOX 360 EDITION!

The incoming Skin Pack 1 will add – you guessed it! – more than 40 new skins to the game, including a Creeper, a Trials HD biker, a Halo Covenant Grunt, King, and ‘Splosion Man. Shhhh, don’t tell ‘Splosion Man he just looks like a naked dude.

No pricetag has been confirmed yet, although according to playXBLA the DLC will come in a demo version so you can try out the skins before paying for them. That… that really doesn’t sound very hygienic.

The DLC is scheduled to drop alongside the Minecraft 1.7.3 update, due out sometime within the next week or so. The update includes:

Added pistons.
Fixed clay generation.
Flint and Steel or redstone is now required to trigger TNT.
Fences can be stacked.
Added Shears.
Redstone wire now will connect to a repeater.
Shears can be used to pick up leaf blocks.
Shears can be used to shear sheep without hurting them
Sheep no longer drop wool from being punched, only from being killed when they are unsheared.
New textures for Cobblestone and Brick blocks.
Silverfish skin was added (for Beta 1.8).
