One of the best and most overlooked racing games this generation is definitely that of Racedriver: GRID.
Back in 2008, the game developed by Dirt aficionados Codemasters, brought a solid mix of arcade and simulated professional street-racing, and while fans wanted a sequel, it never seemed to happen.
Well, it now looks like the team have been listening to the community, finally.
“The GRID team at Codemasters is actively working on GRID 2,” said OXM. “It’s likely to arrive after the release of F1 2012.”
F1 2012 is set to release in September, which could slip a GRID sequel into a the end-of-year period.
With Codemasters shifting their focus into being a racing game specialist studio, it’s not unlikely that a number of projects are on-track at once.
