High Moon and Marvel team up for Hit Monkey

9 July 2012

Last week, there was speculation regarding Marvel and High Moon Studios’ unannounced project, with rumours that it was the Iron Man 3 video game to tie-in to next year’s movie. We now know that the collaboration is actually for Hit-Monkey.

The info has slipped out through a registered site from Marvel Characters Inc, which includes the image of a titular character, a deadly macaque, holding a pistol.

The studios’ logos were there, although have been pulled down since being found out.

Hit-Monkey may not be a very well-known Marvel hero, although he will definitely have your attention soon. Hit-Monkey was created by Daniel Way and Dalibor Talajić and debuted in 2010. The story follows a monkey, who picks up his lethal skills from observing a human hitman. After his clan is taken out, the macaque takes on the role of Hit-Monkey, and dedicates his life to hunting down hired killers.

Marvel and High Moon are expected to reveal the game at a Marvel video game panel next week.
