LucasArts creating new first-person shooter

10 July 2012

LucasArts have stuck up job postings for developmental roles for an upcoming first-person shooter.

The positions open are for a senior core engineer and a senior animator, who will work on an unspecified “FPS title”.

The information is very scarce, although the one post does mention that the engineer will be “responsible for implementing cutting edge features and optimizations on current and Future Generation console and PC hardware”, suggesting that it could be a next-gen game.

The FPS could possibly be set in the Star Wars universe, or it could be completely different. The only thing we know from LucasArts for now is that they’re busy with Star Wars 1313, which impressed in the visuals department at E3.

Would you be interested in a new Star Wars-based FPS? Or would you like the see something different from LucasArts?
